With FRAISA ReTool®, FRAISA GmbH impressed the expert jury and has received one of the most prestigious awards for sustainable products and solutions in Germany. The award recognizes innovative approaches that provide concrete solutions to pressing environmental and social challenges.
With FRAISA ReTool®, FRAISA addresses exactly this issue. Worn-out precision tools made from carbide still contain valuable raw materials. Instead of replacing them, FRAISA, as a tool manufacturer, reconditions them itself.
This allows customers to save up to 70% in costs compared to purchasing new tools—while maintaining the same performance—and reduces CO2 emissions by 50 to 80% per tool.
In this way, the company demonstrates how sustainable innovations work in practice and can advance sustainable business practices. The German Sustainability Award for Products honors products and solutions that make an effective contribution to sustainable change.

The expert jury particularly highlights that FRAISA, as a manufacturer, combines reconditioning with expertise in geometry, workpiece material, and grinding parameters. The circular model—comprising take-back, reconditioning, digital tracking of individual items, and logistics—combines industrial reuse with consistent quality standards.
