Even within the assigned machining classes, mate- rials have different properties that affect machinability. Each material is therefore individually fine-tuned with respect to its machinability with the aid of specific additions, as a result of which the cutting data are reduced or increased accordingly. If you use the simplified material selection method (softkey), the cutting data is retrieved from the machining class level.
