ANNUAL REPORT 2021 / 2022 I PROJECTS FRAISA ToolExpert ® High-precision cutting data for more efficiency in production In times of technological change and increasing automation, using reliable, high-quality cutting data is fundamental. This data determines the efficiency and reliability of processing work. And here we’d like to support our customers as best as we can. That’s why FRAISA is investing about 50% of total development costs into achieving perfectly calibrated tool- and material-specific cutting data. This creates plug-and-play solu- tions that obviate expensive experiments in production. The FRAISA ToolExpert ® online cutting data calculator today has over 2 million data points available. It enables perfect use of FRAISA tools: fast, simple, and precise. It also supports the FRAISA sustainability concept because tools used correctly have a longer service life. And beyond that, cutting data can be applied even after reconditioning with FRAISA ReTool ® . Steady, continual development FRAISA ToolExpert ® is being developed continually. The imple- mentation of new tools and additions to the product range take place regularly. Additional tool search function make it even easier to find the right tool. Category selection enables a custom representation along with customer requirements. By pressing the ToolSchool button you can easily find the latest tool technologies and see how their features can improve your processes. You can download fact sheets in pdf format and edit them as well as the available geometric data (which is DIN and ISO compliant) in various formats. The ordering function lets you directly order your selected tool in the online store. Automated integration of cutting data With direct integration of data through online interfaces, FRAISA has taken a successful and revolutionary step towards process optimization. Now it’s possible to directly import cut- ting data into the CAM or TDM system by integrating through an XML or JSON interface. The data transfer then occurs en- tirely online so that it considerably reduces our customers’ time spent. The elimination of manual data entry significantly re- duces errors and increases efficiency. It’s our goal to continue to support FRAISA’s customers in se- lecting the perfect tool, the best strategy, and the appropriate cutting parameters. For that reason, we will continue to steadi- ly develop FRAISA ToolExpert ® and interface technologies in the future. [ 17 ]
