FRAISA Annual Report 21/22
ANNUAL REPORT 2021 / 2022 I PROJECTS FRAISA’s strategy A cornerstone for making work easier and increasing efficiency At FRAISA we always create corporate strategies for a seven- year cycle. We then make minor revisions and adjustments an- nually. For the years 2014 to 2021, we’ve had the “Fundament `21” strategy. The current cornerstone for a transparent and sustainable FRAISA corporate policy is “Perspektive `28”, cov- ering the period until 2028 and, thus, until the next revision based on it. The current corporate strategy “Perspektive `28” Just like its predecessor, “Perspektive `28” is an owners’ strat- egy and a corporate strategy. The owners’ strategy is based on four core statements: The content of “Perspektive `28” encompasses not only the stakeholders, the sustainable financing of the group of com- panies, and sustainable growth, but naturally also our core business: products and services in the areas of milling, drilling, and treading technologies as well as tool reconditioning, lo- gistics, and consulting, and information services. Beyond that, the strategy specifies features for the further development of production, production technology, services, and sales. Further development of FRAISA’s sustainability concept The principle of exemplary status is anchored in the owners’ strategy. This applies also to the ecosystem: We want to show that industry and environmental protection do not stand in contradiction to each other. By creating a life cycle assessment for the entire FRAISA Group in the previous year, we've laid the cornerstone for continual development in reducing our ecological footprint. The subjects of safety, health, workplace ergonomics, and social sustainability complete the threefold sustainability concept. This is the basis on which the FRAISA Group will continue to develop in the future. Project-based redesign of processes As an organization, we never want to stand still. This is a prin- ciple that we’ve also defined for each individual employee. If each and every one of us is in motion, then we as a company are also in motion. In the second, much more comprehensive part of the strategy paper, an overview of our large projects establishes a basis to better steer the movements on a compa- ny level and to provide a perspective. Project-based redesign of our processes should make our work easier in a sustainable way and increase efficiency and produc- tivity. The project overview in our strategy paper shows our will to keep developing in various areas. For this purpose we’ve formulated goals, evaluated necessary resources, and devel- oped the basis for economic decisions. Every day, we live our guiding principle, “passion for precision”, so we pull out all the stops to further optimize everything we do as much as possible. The project overview helps us to keep the right focus. It also simplifies our work that spans multi- ple areas and sites. Just like our lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic, which have brought the seven FRAISA sites closer together by using digital technologies. Investments in IT projects and digitalization As a medium-sized enterprise, we work with limited resources, and this is another reason why a project overview is important. As one example, IT projects are taking an ever more central role but implementation requires resources from other areas too. Since we still see great potential in digitalization (the digital transformation of our economy), we’ll continue to invest in this area. In doing so, we're focused on making work easier, raising production efficiency, continuing to develop our sales, and ex- panding our services. At the same time, we always want to offer competitive and technologically advanced products. 1. No FRAISA without the entrepreneur! 2. Stick to what you know best! 3 . FRAISA invests and risks its own capital! 4. FRAISA should always be an exemplary company! [ 13 ]
