Press Release for AMB 2018

New products and innovations:
FRAISA at the AMB MESSE in Stuttgart
from 18.09 – 22.09.2018 in hall 3, stand B30

AMB, the international exhibition for metal-working, is considered a leading trade fair and one of the top five trade fairs worldwide in this industry. More than 1,500 exhibitors from over 30 nations present their new products and services in the area of machines and tools for metal-working. The FRAISA stand (stand B30 in hall 3) will give visitors to the exhibition a chance to find out everything they need to know about the comprehensive portfolio of products, services and innovations this manufacturer of high-performance milling cutters has to offer them.

New FRAISA products at the trade fair:

The new AX-FPS for aluminum machining

The newly developed AX-FPS opens up new performance horizons. Mirror-finish flutes ensure exceedingly smooth and ultra-fast chip removal. The extremely easy-cut tool features a totally new penetration edge and is finely balanced in order to guarantee smooth running at high cutting speeds. Maximum agility, full-slot milling up to 2xd and a penetration angle of 25° are just a few of the highlights that make the tool stand out.

As this tool pushes the machine tool to its performance limits, you will find specific cutting data in FRAISA ToolExpert AX-FPS that allow you to match the tool application parameters perfectly to the machine environment.

ArCut X Circular Arc Milling Cutter

The new ArCut X cutter lets you make brilliant surfaces in next to no time. The comprehensive product portfolio covers a good 90% of all applications. On fiveaxis machine tools, machining times when finishing can be reduced by up to 90% while maintaining consistent surface characteristics. Convex cutting edges with huge radii create perfect surfaces with the tightest tolerances at sides, bottoms, or radii in deep cavities. Precise cutting data, which can be used in the specific FRAISA ToolExpert for CAM, form the basis for successful use of ArCut X.

Multi-functional Cutting MFC The solution for easy-cut and highly dynamic applications

Each of the already launched MFC tools of the multi-functional MB-NVDS family enables up to 96 different applications to be handled.

Thanks to the popularity of MBNVDS (MFC) tools in the market, the tool family has been expanded. While the MB-NVDS tools already available are exhibiting excellent performance in finishing and conventional HPC roughing operations, the new family members are focused on HDC (High Dynamic Cutting), which offers greater productivity and process reliability compared with HPC milling.

These new MFC tools, with their robust cutting edge geometry, are ideally suited to penetrating and milling out the component using the entire length of the cutting edge. Machining forces, power consumption and torque input are reduced thanks to soft and low-vibration cutting. Thanks to the redesigned double groove and continuous polished teeth, it is now possible to absorb greater thermal and mechanical loads during HDC trochoidal machining.

The new MB-NVDS 5.2xd version can be used to make deep holes and to achieve extremely high material removal rates when HDC-S milling.

HX-NVS for machining hardened materials

The successful HX family has been revised for high-performance machining of hardened steels up to 68 HRC. The HXNVS milling cutter is the first tool on the market that features up to 5° penetration angle and consequently significantly expands the range of applications of such tools. The core diameter has been massively increased and the surface refined with an extremely hard Duro-Si hard coating.

FRAISA ToolExpert 2.0 - Our new cutting data software for optimum tool use

FRAISA ToolExpert is available online, so there‘s no longer any need to download it. What’s more, it is platform-independent. All you need is an up-to-date browser

It has also been redesigned to make it even more userfriendly. The three applications FRAISA ToolExpert MFC, FRAISA ToolExpert HelixRamp and FRAISA ToolExpert HDC are now integrated into FRAISA ToolExpert. This means FRAISA ToolExpert can be implemented even more flexibly and in a wider range of applications.
